nice quote

I just watched the movie, "Shall we Dance"... and this quote from it is quite profound. :) Just thought I'd share...

Why is it that people get married?
Because we need a witness to our lives.
There’s a billion people on the planet.
What does any one life really mean?
But in a marriage, you’re promising to care about everything…
The good things, the bad things, the terrible things, the mundane things,
All of it… all the time, every day.
You’re saying “Your life will not go unnoticed because I will notice it.
Your life will not go unwitnessed - because I will be your witness.”
Mrs. Clark, "Shall We Dance?" 2004

Wow! That's a great quote! That really is a lot of what marriage is about, I suppose, and it's also what a lot of us singles miss out on. We can watch the celebrations that seem to come inherent in the everyday fabric of family, and then see our own triumphs and trials go practical unnoticed. Profound. Thanks for sharing the quote. (By the way, I found your site from Carolyn McCulley's Solo Feminity blog.)
